Pentagram use ..... And the importance of safety
The Pentagram is not a symbol to be abused.
It should never be used upsidedown
WHY?
Certain symbols attract influences towards them that deeply affect the subconscious mind of the user.
The symbol of the Pentagram has been used for thousands of years and therefore has become imprinted rather like a hologram in the ether . Because of this most people clearly recognise this symbol, even if they have had nothing to do with it before. Many people also seem to believe that it is totally associated with witchcraft. Indeed, it is looked upon as a protective symbol for the Wiccan religion, but .....
The truth is that there is much much more to its origins and meaning.
The Upright Pentagram not only represents the human body stood upright - with head, two arms and two legs, but it also very importantly represents the 4 elements within us, under control of the Spiritual Being. (Air = Mind: Water = Emotions: Fire = Desire: Earth = Body)
It was also a belief that mankind was made in the image of God, therefore the Pentagram also became a representation of the Creator.
So ..... if we care to follow this thinking through ......
This symbol can represent Humanity in complete Spiritual control - with the head and consciousness in close connection with the heavenly worlds, or upsidedown with the head buried in the earth, causing complete Spiritual blindness, with all the senses and elements functioning in disarray.Therefore ....
The Pentagram - when it is seen in it rightful position - the RIGHT WAY UP - is one of the strongest protections known to man, for it has been imprinted on the universal subconscious for generations - BUT, for the same reason, the INVERTED PENTAGRAM AFFORDS NO PROTECTION WHATSOEVER, and in fact stimulates extreme negativity within and around those who choose to use it.

It is the policy of Owl to very strongly advise that this symbol is NEVER used inverted, and we equally strongly denounce the ill chosen use of this imagery by "Most Haunted" - on Living TV - for their Halloween investigations.
David Wells has made it very clear on live television that he has deep concerns about the use of the Inverted Pentagram on the programme. It is part of his job to put a protective influence over the proceedings. When confronted with such contradictory circumstances, it means he has to call on excessive concentration and control. Regardless of the dangers - this can cause very detrimental heart changes and other physical effects to himself. There can be long term difficulties brought about by the arrogance of the ignorant who search for sensation - and not least to any public involved in close interaction. David is fully trained, but there are those who are not, and can be tempted to emulate what they see.
